Gabriel Meek grew up in Montana and Washington. He earned a B.A. in English from Whitworth University and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University. He has taught English composition and creative writing.

His interests lie in writing, editing, and designing. He has served in editorial roles for Rock & Sling and Script at Whitworth and for Willow Springs Books at Eastern.

As part of a musical family, he has played many instruments but is most fond of the djembe. He has an affinity for homemade pink applesauce. An avid consumer of popular culture, Gabriel has presented work at the annual conference for the Popular Culture Association. He is writing a fantasy novel.
